Tiger curriculum program was developed specifically for preschool age children ages 4 through 6. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, it is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions.
This curriculum should provide students with the most fun and exciting training methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with other programs, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system. Upon graduation, Tigers graduate into the Kids program with ease as the material is consistent.
The foundation of the Kids curriculum is the education and development of life-skills such as positive mental attitude, high goal setting, perseverance, self-control and confidence. Kids training is designed to be fun and fulfilling for each student. This is because Taekwondo is an individual activity rather than a team sport. Therefore every student is an active and valuable participant in class. They work out with kids their own age and progress at their own pace.
The Kids program is perfect for parents looking for an activity that is not just great exercise but that also teaches their school age children lessons they will use throughout their life. The way children learn and what motivates them is the reason we offer a program exclusively for children.
You are busy. We get it. But you are not any good to your family if you are stressed out always worrying about the struggle between life, job and kids.Martial arts provides balance to this problem. No matter if you are after physical fitness, self-defense, or even just an athletic social outlet, we provide an environment that is positive and promotes a YES I CAN attitude. Training can take both your home life and work life to that next level. As an added bonus you will likely make friends with people who have common interests? Many of our students state that the time that they spend in class is an oasis in the middle of their lives where they can focus on themselves without feeling selfish or guilty. These benefits are just the beginning. You’ll develop mental skills, as well as be more focused and competitive both in your business and your personal life. You’ll perform better, feel better and overall just BE better. No experience necessary!
Most forms of martial arts are based around an accomplishment system of colored belts that signify the wearer’s degree of skill. When your child strives toward each new belt, he’s learning valuable lessons about setting and reaching his goals.
Confidence comes with achievement, so your child’s self-esteem level will get a boost with every new move he masters and every belt he earns. Kids who struggle with a low sense of self-worth usually become more confident as time progresses while they’re enrolled in a martial arts class.
Learning any Taekwondo will require your child to show her instructor unflinching respect. Today’s kid culture doesn’t always include respect for authority, adults or those in advanced positions. When she goes to her Taekwondo class, though, your child will be learning lessons in respect along with new moves.
Thinking that martial arts instruction promotes violent behavior is justified if your only experience with the activity comes from television or movies. In fact, many defensive styles teach kids peaceful, non-violent conflict resolution skills and emphasize the importance of avoiding a physical altercation.
Whether he’s breaking boards to get a new belt or sparring in a practice setting to master a new maneuver, there are few things that your child does in his martial arts classes that will be done on his own. Working together to learn new things and accomplish goals is an important life lesson for kids to learn, and instruction in the martial arts can help your child learn that lesson.
The benefits of martial arts training don’t end in the classroom. The boost in confidence, increased fitness level and new cooperation skills will also help your child navigate the academic and social aspects of school, affect his behavior at home and have an all-around good influence on him as he develops into an adult.
